Abstract

This paper presents a description of the Balakhna and Rassokha swells, which are located in the central part of the Yenisei–Khatanga Basin and are revealed by seismic and drilling data, as well as the results of a comparative analysis of their geological structure. The history of the formation of the swells is discussed in detail, starting from rift nucleation in the Late Permian–Early Triassic time and including the stages when growth of inversion structures intensified in the Middle Triassic, Late Jurassic, Early Cretaceous, and Cenozoic. Asynchronous development of these structures is established on the basis of paleoreconstruction analysis.
