The journal is intended for scientists, for those in the health professions, educators, and
students in universities and researchers in industrial, medical, agricultural,
and environmental control laboratories.
Russian Journal of Bioorganic Chemistry (Bioorganicheskaya Khimiya) welcomes
papers on all aspects of bioorganic chemistry, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, genomics, proteomics,
bioinformatics, immunology, molecular virology, molecular evolution and developmental biology.

Russian Journal of Bioorganic Chemistry (Bioorganicheskaya Khimiya) is a peer reviewed journal. We use
a double-blind peer review format. Our team of reviewers includes 83 experts, both internal and external (67,47%), from 13 countries. The rejection rate for submitted manuscripts in 2020 was 67%. The final decision on the acceptance of an article for publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief.
Any invited reviewer who feels unqualified or unable to review
the manuscript due to the conflict of interests should promptly notify
the editors and decline the invitation.
Reviewers should formulate their statements clearly in a sound and
reasoned way so that authors can use reviewer’s arguments to
improve the manuscript. Personal criticism of the authors must be
avoided.
Reviewers should indicate in a review (i) any relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors,
(ii) anything that has been reported in previous publications and not given appropriate reference or citation,
(iii) any substantial similarity or overlap with any other manuscript (published or unpublished) of which they have personal knowledge.

The journal is indexed according to its English version and included in the bibliographic databases: Chemical Abstracts, Science Citation Index, Current Contents/Life Sciences, Reaction Citation Index, Biochemistry and Biophysics Citation Index, Science Citation Index Expanded, Chemistry Citation Index, and ISI Altering Services. Russian version is also included into the databases MEDLINE, EMBASE (Excerpta Medica), AGRICOLA and some others.

Russian Journal of Bioorganic Chemistry (Bioorganicheskaya Khimiya) has a Conflict of Interest policy in place and complies with international, national and/or institutional standards on research involving Human Participants and/or Animals and Informed Consent.
Russian Journal of Bioorganic Chemistry (Bioorganicheskaya Khimiya) is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and subscribes to its principles on how to deal with acts of misconduct thereby committing to investigate allegations of misconduct in order to ensure the integrity of research.
Russian Journal of Bioorganic Chemistry (Bioorganicheskaya Khimiya) may use plagiarism detection software to screen the submissions. If plagiarism is identified, the COPE guidelines on plagiarism will be followed.
