Структура популяции симбиотического краба Trapezia septata (Decapoda, Trapeziidae) на ранних стадиях формирования колоний кораллов

Исследованы пространственное размещение, экстенсивность и интенсивность заселения, размерная структура, половой состав и плодовитость крабов Trapezia septata – симбионтов кораллов Pocillopora cf. verrucosa на ранних стадиях формирования их колоний. Пробы были собраны в бухте Дамбай, залив Нячанг, Вьетнам с колоний, выращенных на искусственных носителях из небольших фрагментов в течение трехмесячной экспозиции в естественных условиях. Установлено, что уже на этой стадии формирования 57% колоний заселены T. septata, причем многие крабы образовали пары и приступили к размножению (42.6% самок под абдоменом имели кладки с эмбрионами). При этом для исследованной популяции T. septata характерен ряд черт, не свойственных сформировавшимся популяциям крабов: 1) менее половины особей (49%) входит в состав разнополых пар и около 40% – это одиночные особи, относительная численность особей в парах растет пропорционально объему колоний; 2) в популяции нет особей, достигших дефинитивных размеров, – модальная ширина карапакса самцов 6–6.9 мм, самок 7.0–7.9 мм; 3) соотношение полов смещено в сторону самцов (m : f = 1.4), при этом с увеличением размеров колонии относительная численность самок растет и соотношение полов приближается к единице; 4) плодовитость самок невелика (147 ± 118) и увеличивается с увеличением их размеров. Все это свидетельствует о том, что формирование зрелой популяционной структуры не завершено. Высокая численность одиночных особей и смещение в соотношении полов в сторону самцов связаны с конкуренцией за ограниченный ресурс между самцами и самками, при которой колонии в первую очередь занимают более конкурентоспособные самцы. Гипотезу межполовой конкуренции подтверждают выравнивание соотношения полов и рост численности пар с увеличением ресурсной базы – размеров колоний. Альтернативная гипотеза предполагает первичный перекос в соотношении полов в пользу самцов, активную первичную колонизацию колоний самцами с последующей их миграцией от колонии к колонии в поисках самок, сопровождающейся высокой смертностью.
