Study of the Activation of 186,188,189Re in (γ, p) Reactions

Abstract

The article presents the result of studies of experimental spectrum-weighted average bremsstrahlung yields of 187Os(γ, p)186Re, 189Os(γ, p)188Re and 190Os(γ, p)189Re reactions, for a bremsstrahlung endpoint energy of 23 MeV. The findings of the modelling conducted within the framework of a statistical nuclear model using the TALYS1.96 software code indicate a predominant contribution of non-statistical mechanisms to the studied reactions. The calculations of the yields of the studied reactions, taking into account semi-direct processes, provide a satisfactory description of the experimental data.
