Abstract

The results of the search for the pentaquarks Θ+ and ¯Θ+ in the ZEUS experiment are analyzed within the framework of the model of formation of five-quark states. The criteria for selecting pentaquarks, leading to different results of observing the resonant signal, are considered. Possible reasons for the negative results of the search for pentaquarks are identified.
