First 1 MVA and 10/0.4 kV HTSC transformer in Russia

Volkov E., Dzhafarov E., Fleishman L., Vysotsky V., Sukonkin V.

Resumo

This article describes results of the development, construction, and test of the first three-phase distribution power transformer prototype in Russia with windings made from second-generation HTSC wire and iron core from amorphous electrical steel. The design of its elements is described and improvement of HTSC transformer performance characteristics compared to conventional power transformers with the same power rating is shown.

Fluxes of electromagnetic field energy in HTSC transformers

Volkov E., Dzhafarov E.

Resumo

The transfer of electric power in an HTSC electromagnetic system is considered using the Poynting vector. An analysis of the process of transfer of electromagnetic field energy in HTSC transformers with and without an iron core is given. It is shown that the power of an HTSC transformer increases when its magnetic core is made from amorphous electrical steel. Schemes of HTSC transformers with a localized magnetic field are given with cylindrical and disk symmetrical interleaved windings providing the cost-saving process of transfer of large electromagnetic energy at a high degree of its uniformity and improve the factor of nonuniformity of electromagnetic flux density.

Comparison of the technical and economic parameters of different variants of the nuclear fuel cycle reactors of the nuclear power plants

Tolstoukhov D., Panov S., Adamov E., Rachkov V.

Resumo

The article presents the comparative economic analysis of the variants of implementation of the fuel cycles for fast and thermal reactors. Calculations are carried out for the formed reference conditions by the cost of processing stages of the fuel cycles for the foreign and expert Russian information sources. The comparative data on the resource supply, absolute and specific costs of the fuel cycle variants for the whole life cycle of the thermal power plant projects with the fast and thermal reactors are considered. The conclusions of the efficiency of the fuel cycle variants for the assumed reference conditions of the calculation are made.

Power transmission line operating modes calculation with controllable phase shifters

Astashev M., Novikov M., Panfilov D., Rashitov P., Remizevich T., Fedorova M.

Resumo

The article contains the analysis of the influence of the phase shifter (PS) on the energy processes in the power transmission line in terms of the two-unit model of the electric network. The approach to synthesis of the models regulated by the phase shifter providing for both calculation of the steady operation modes of the electric networks with the phase shifters and research of the electromagnetic processes and designing of the device itself is offered.

Chaotic dynamics of controlled electric power systems

Kozlov V., Trosko I.

Resumo

The conditions for appearance of chaotic dynamics of electromagnetic and electromechanical processes in energy systems described by the Park-Gorev bilinear differential equations with account for lags of coordinates and restrictions on control have been formulated. On the basis of classical equations, the parameters of synchronous generators and power lines, at which the chaotic dynamics of energy systems appears, have been found. The qualitative and quantitative characteristics of chaotic processes in energy associations of two types, based on the Hopf theorem, and methods of nonstationary linearization and decompositions are given. The properties of spectral characteristics of chaotic processes have been investigated, and the qualitative similarity of bilinear equations of power systems and Lorentz equations have been found. These results can be used for modernization of the systems of control of energy objects. The qualitative and quantitative characteristics for power energy systems as objects of control and for some laws of control with the feedback have been established.

Providing security for automated process control systems at hydropower engineering facilities

Vasiliev Y., Zegzhda P., Zegzhda D.

Resumo

This article suggests the concept of a cyberphysical system to manage computer security of automated process control systems at hydropower engineering facilities. According to the authors, this system consists of a set of information processing tools and computer-controlled physical devices. Examples of cyber attacks on power engineering facilities are provided, and a strategy of improving cybersecurity of hydropower engineering systems is suggested. The architecture of the multilevel protection of the automated process control system (APCS) of power engineering facilities is given, including security systems, control systems, access control, encryption, secure virtual private network of subsystems for monitoring and analysis of security events. The distinctive aspect of the approach is consideration of interrelations and cyber threats, arising when SCADA is integrated with the unified enterprise information system.

Experimental research of radio-frequency ion thruster

Antropov N., Akhmetzhanov R., Bogatyy A., Grishin R., Kozhevnikov V., Plokhikh A., Popov G., Khartov S.

Resumo

The article is devoted to the research of low-power (300 W) radio-frequency ion thruster designed at the Moscow Aviation Institute. The main results of experimental research of the thruster using the testfacility power supplies and the power processing unit of their own design are presented. The dependence of the working fluid ionization cost on its mass flow rate at the constant ion beam current was investigated experimentally. The influence of the shape and material of the discharge chamber on the integral characteristics of the thruster was studied. The recommendations on the optimization of the thruster primary performance were developed based on the results of experimental studies.

Optimal operational modes for frameless space radiators with organosilicon ultrahigh coolant

Bondareva N., Koroteev A., Safronov A., Filatov N., Shishkanov I.

Resumo

Optimal modes of operation of frameless space radiators with organosilicon ultrahigh-vacuum working medium have been determined. Recommendations for increasing efficiency and intensity of the sheet radiation cooling under different modes of operation of the droplet cooler-radiator in the space are formulated. A method for determining the optimal number of droplet planes within the fine droplet sheet structure is presented. How the flow rarefaction influences onto on radiator’s main thermal characteristics is investigated. The operational modes of the frameless radiator with “cross” configuration are grounded.
