Abstract
The temperature fields beneath a tank with oil in the Vankor oil field are calculated. Stefan's problem is solved taking account of random variations in the meteorological characteristics is solved. A method of computing the probability of finding soil in nonfrozen or frozen states at an arbitrary point of the design region is developed.
