Abstract

The effectiveness of methods is considered for the compaction of weak water-saturated clay soil in building beds under complex geological engineering conditions in the vicinity of Sochi. Results are presented of experiments to compact weak clay soil using geosynthetic drains, sand mats, and sand points. It is shown that soil consolidation and compaction processes occur most effectively using vertical geosynthetic drains.
