Abstract

A technique is developed to optimize the curing conditions when temperature is increased to a given value. The influence of the heating kinetics is studied, and an optimization algorithm is developed using the criteria of the minimum time consumption at the stages before and after gel formation in a binder. The process time is simulated with the Femap software package with allowance for the thermophysical properties of the binder in the liquid and gel states. The simulation results obtained for various heating kinetics are presented. In the optimization regime, the heating rate is found to be 5 K/min before and after the gel formation point.
