Structure and Electroerosion Resistance of the Ag–CuO Coating Prepared by Electroexplosive Sputtering on Copper Electrical Contacts

Abstract

The structure and the arc erosion resistance of the Ag–CuO coating deposited on copper electrical contacts by electroexplosive sputtering are studied. Under the chosen sputtering conditions, the coating is a composite material having a homogeneous structure and consisting of a silver matrix and CuO inclusions. The electroerosion resistance of the coating meet standard requirements.
