Abstract
The structure and the arc erosion resistance of the Ag–CuO coating deposited on copper electrical contacts by electroexplosive sputtering are studied. Under the chosen sputtering conditions, the coating is a composite material having a homogeneous structure and consisting of a silver matrix and CuO inclusions. The electroerosion resistance of the coating meet standard requirements.
