Method for Calculating the Probabilities of Bit Errors in Radio Signal Reception with QPSK-Modulation in the Presence of Interference with Linear Frequency Modulation

Abstract

Based on the developed methodology for analyzing the noise immunity of receiving radio signals with quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK), the probabilities of a bit error in the presence of interference with linear frequency modulation were calculated and compared with the influence of harmonic interference. A technique is presented without calculating the probability of correct reception, using conditional transition probabilities between positions of the signal constellation, which has no restrictions on signal and interference levels.
