A New Species of Stromatoporoids from Late Famennian of the Southern Tatar Arch of the Volga-Ural's Oil and Gas Province
Abstract
A new species of an unusual genus of stromatoporoids Stylostroma Gorsky, 1938, S. absurdum sp. nov., first identified in the sediments of the Middle Famennian of the Devonian system of the South Tatar arch of the Volga-Ural oil and gas bearing province, is described. The study of the host rocks revealed an increased content of organic carbon, which allows us to consider the sediments as analogs of oil-maternal rocks.

The First Record of Soliclymenia paradoxa (Hexaclymeniidae, Ammonoidea) from the Upper Devonian of the Middle Urals
Abstract
The Late Devonian ammonoid species Soliclymenia paradoxa (Münster) is recorded for the first time from the Middle Urals, from the Gubakha Formation (Famennian) near the town of Gubakha (Perm Region, Russia). Previously, this species was known only from Western and Central Europe and South China. It is the first record of a representative of the genus Soliclymenia Schindewolf from the Middle Urals. The history of the study of the genus Soliclymenia and its species is reviewed. The age of the bed with ammonoids is within the Muessenbiaergia parundulata–Effenbergia lens ammonoid zones, correlated with the Upper expansa–Lower praesulcata conodont zones.

New Species of Sirenitidae (Ammonoidea) from the Upper Carnian (Upper Triassic) of Eastern Yakutia
Abstract
The study of the material from the Upper Carnian of Northern Kharalukah and the upper reaches of the Adycha River basin allowed us to clarify the species composition of the genera Yakutosirenites Tozer, 1994 and Orientosirenites Konstantinov, 2018. Based on the study of the shell shape, sculpture and lobe line features, the identification of new species Yakutosirenites (Yakutosirenites) selivanovae sp. nov. and Orientosirenites insolitus sp. nov. was substantiated. Their description is given. The new data allow us to supplement the taxonomic composition of the late Carnian ammonoids of Eastern Yakutia.

A New Species of the Genus Boreophylloceras Alekseev et Repin, 1998 (Ammonoidea, Phylloceratida) from the Upper Ryazanian of the North of Eastern Siberia
Abstract
A review of modern views on the position of Boreophylloceras Alekseev et Repin, 1998 in the phylloceratid system is carried out. Two opposing viewpoints are shown on the assessment of the weight of taxonomic features of this genus, such as the very large size of the protoconch and ammonitella, the initial ventral-marginal position of the siphon, etc. A new member of the genus B. subtile sp. nov. is described from the upper Ryazanian (Bojarkia mesezhnikowi zone) of the north of Eastern Siberia (Popigay River basin).

Kepplerites keppleri (Ammonoidea: Kosmoceratidae), an Index Species of the Lowermost Subzone of the Callovian Standard Scale, in Localities of the Russian Platform
Abstract
The species Kepplerites keppleri (Oppel), first described from southern Germany, is an index species of the lowermost subzone of the Callovian standard scale. This and the wide geographical distribution of this taxon determine its importance for interregional correlation. At the same time, K. keppleri is the ancestor of all the Callovian representatives of the genus Kepplerites (and the family Kosmoceratidae) in a vast territory of Boreal, Subboreal and Peri-Tethyan marine basins. The paper discusses the finds of this species in Central Russia (Middle Volga area) and their significance for systematics and biostratigraphy. The boundary between the Bathonian and Callovian on the Russian platform is proposed to be drawn along the first appearance of Kepplerites keppleri, as is customary in Southern Germany.

New Data on the Genus Baltocrinus (Crinoidea, Iocrinidae) from the Ordovician of Leningrad Region
Abstract
The calyxes articulated with stems are described, the characteristic pentagonal columns of which were known in the Baltic Ordovician since the time of Eichwald and were united by G.A. Stukalina in 1979 under the generic name Baltocrinus in her artificial taxonomy of crinoid columns. Studying the calyces allowed them to be classified in the family Iocrinidae of disparid crinoids and thus find a place for the genus Baltocrinus in the natural classification. Two species were distinguished by the calyces, one of which is new, and the other was successfully linked to the type species of the genus, distinguished by the columns.

On the Evolution of Ray-Finned Fishes Fauna in the Permian and Triassic of the Kuznetsk Basin
Abstract
The historical development of main ray-finned fish taxa in the Permian and Early Triassic of the Kuznetsk Basin has been traced. Three faunal assemblages of ray-finned fishes, successively changing and having no continuity, have been identified: Permian, Indian and Olenekian. The first one is subdivided into five subassemblages. During the Permian, endemism among the ray-finned fish assemblages increased. In the Triassic, the faunal assemblages changed completely twice (without any continuity with earlier assemblages) - at the Permian-Triassic boundary and at the boundary of the Indian and Olenekian Stages.

Pinichthys werneri sp. nov., a New Species of Stromateid Fish (Perciformes, Stromateoidei) from the Terminal Maikopian (Uppermost Lower - Lowermost Middle Miocene) of the Eastern Paratethys
Abstract
The stromateid fish Pinichthys werneri sp. nov. (Perciformes, Stromateoidei), the fourth species of the Oligocene - Miocene genus Pinichthys Bannikov, 1985, is described from the terminal Maikopian (uppermost Lower - lowermost Middle Miocene) of the northwestern Caucasus (Krasnodar Region, Pshekha River) based on three skeletons. The new species differs from P. pulcher Bannikov, 1988, P. fractus Bannikov, 1985, and P. shirvanensis Bannikov, 2021 in the structure of the anal fin: fewer spines and more soft rays. In the new species, tricuspid teeth (a character typical of the family Stromateidae) are located in most of the jaws, but the anterior teeth are unicuspid. An incomplete specimen from the coeval deposits of the Kerch Peninsula, previously attributed to P. fractus, a species known from the upper Maikopian of the Absheron Peninsula, is assigned to the new species.

Turtles from Upper Cretaceous Deposits of the Izhberda Locality (Orenburg Oblast, Russia)
Abstract
The article describes a turtle assemblage from the Upper Cretaceous deposits of the Izhberda locality in the Orenburg Region of Russia. The assemblage contains at least four taxa of sea turtles: Protostegidae indet., Toxochelyinae indet. (the first reliable find in Eurasia), Ctenochelyidae indet., and Pan-Chelonioidea indet., similar to Corsochelys haliniches Zangerl, 1960. In addition, remains of Pan-Chelonioidea indet., which may belong to a wide range of taxa, and a fragment of a sculptured peripheral plate of Testudines indet., which may belong to a representative of the genus Peritresius (Ctenochelyidae) or a large representative of Nanhsiungchelyidae (previously not reported in Europe), are described.

A Large Goshawk (Aves, Accipitriformes: Accipitridae) from the Lower Pleistocene of Crimea, and Dimorphism in the Foot Structure in Astur gentilis
Abstract
A new species of goshawks, Astur cimmerius sp. nov., is described based on two complete tarsometatars and two pedal phalanges from the Lower Pleistocene (1.8–1.6 million years ago) of Taurida Cave in Crimea. This is one of the three oldest goshawk finds in the global fossil record and the oldest for the Early Pleistocene of Eurasia, supporting the hypothesis of an African origin for this phylogenetic lineage. Astur cimmerius is considered a likely ancestor of modern A. meyerianus, A. gentilis, and A. atricapillus and could have been widespread in southern Eurasia in the Early Pleistocene. Sexual dimorphism in the tarsometatarsus morphology of modern A. gentilis is noted for the first time, facilitating segregation of females and males by prey size.

Small Vertebrates from Pleistocene Deposits of the South Chamber of Denisova Cave
Abstract
Based on a representative faunal collection, including more than 30,000 bone remains, an assessment is made of the dynamics of the ecological composition of small vertebrate communities near Denisova Cave in the second half of the Middle- Upper Pleistocene. We reconstructed cold climate epochs that probably correspond to the beginning of the Samarovo (MIS 8), Taz (MIS 6) and Ermakovo (MIS 4) cooling periods in the climatostratigraphic scheme of the Pleistocene of Western Siberia. Relatively warm epochs probably correspond to the end of the Tobolsk (MIS 9), Shirta (MIS 7) and Kazantsevo (MIS 5) interglacials, as well as the Karga interstadial (MIS 3). Analysis of different ecological groups of small vertebrates allowed us to establish local features in the development of each epoch, characteristic directly of the cave environs.

Cell Ultrastructure of Mirovia macrophylla (Florin) Nosova (Pinopsida) from the Lower Cretaceous of Yakutia
Abstract
The article presents the results of cytochemical and anatomical studies of the conifer leaf of Mirovia macrophylla from the Lower Cretaceous of the Lena Coal Basin in Yakutia. For the first time, the presence of cells with preserved nuclei was revealed for an early Cretaceous conifer, but in the nuclear chromatin the DNA-deoxyribose skeleton, which serves as a target for the Schiff reagent during the Feulgen reaction, was not preserved. Chloroplasts with a thylakoid system were also found in the leaf cells, and inclusions were observed in the chloroplasts, with the larger ones likely being starch grains and the smaller ones being plastoglobuli. In some cells, grooved globules were found, presumably tannins.
