Abstract
A numerical approach to the determination of strength properties for concrete with short reinforcing fibers on the basis of the finite element method is proposed. The mathematical model takes into account various processes of nonlinear deformation of the concrete matrix under compressive and tensile loads, the possibility of developing the inelastic strains in the concrete matrix and reinforcing fibers and the nonlinear interaction between them. The effect of fiber concentration, various loading surfaces for the material matrix, and the bonding type on the deformation of a composite material is analyzed. Numerical examples of strength analysis are given.
