New One-Dimensional Chain Polymer Based on [Zn2(OCO)2] Rhomboid Clusters

A one-dimensional Zn(II) complex [Zn(NO₂-BDC)(NPT)₂]_n (1) (NO₂-H₂BDC = 5-nitro-1,3-benzenedicarboxylic acid, NPT = 1-(4-nitrophenyl)-1,2,4-triazole) is synthesized and characterized using single crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. The single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that complex 1 is an infinite ladder-like one-dimensional chain based on [Zn₂(OCO)₂] rhomboid clusters. The thermal stability and luminescence properties of complex 1 are investigated.
