Voltammetric Analysis in Blood Serum in Patients with Severe Combined Trauma

Tsivadze A.Y., Petrikov S.S., Goroncharovskaya I.V., Evseev A.K., Shabanov A.K., Batishchev O.V., Andreev V.N., Goldin M.M.

Abstract

Studies into medical applications of electrochemistry [1–3] served for the solution of several important applied research tasks on the development of new diagnostic methods for the functional status of blood cells and extracorporeal blood treatment. This paper demonstrates for the first time the potential of cyclic voltammetry in blood serum in critically ill patients with severe combined trauma for early detection of dysfunction of the antioxidant system in the body and prediction of the trauma outcome.

Heat Capacity and Thermodynamic Functions of ErInGe2O7 and TbInGe2O7 Germanates in the Range 350–1000 K

Denisova L.T., Izotov A.D., Kargin Y.F., Irtyugo L.A., Beletskii V.V., Belousova N.V., Denisov V.M.

Abstract

ErInGe2O7 and TbInGe2O7 have been synthesized from the parent oxides by a ceramic method through the multistep annealing in air in the temperature range 1273–1473 K. The high-temperature heat capacity of these oxides has been measured by the differential scanning calorimetry method (350–1000 K). Their thermodynamic properties have been calculated from the experimental dependences Cp = f(T).

Types of Steady States of a Continuous Stirred-Tank Reactor: Liquid–Liquid Heterogeneous System

Samoilenko N.G., Shatunova E.N., Shkadinskii K.G., Korsunskii B.L., Berlin A.A.

Abstract

The topology and stability of steady states of a continuous stirred-tank reactor were studied for a liquid–liquid heterogeneous system in which an exothermic reaction occurs. It was shown that the heat of the reaction, its energy barrier, and the mass transfer rate strongly affect the type of the structure of the emerging steady state, and the topological pattern changes through a series of degenerate steady states.
