Solvent effect on the structure of composite films obtained from chitosan solutions with a precursor of silver nanoparticles

摘要

The solvent effect on the structure of nanocomposite films cast from chitosan solutions with AgNO3 as a precursor of silver nanoparticles was studied for the first time. The size and concentration of silver nanoparticles in the chitosan matrix can be controlled by varying the chitosan-dissolving ability of the solvent with carbonic acid.

Chemistry of the CARBEX process: Identification of absorption bands of the ligands in the electronic spectra of aqueous solutions of Na4[UO2(O2)CO3)2]

摘要

On the basis of consideration of dissociation, hydration, association, and ligand exchange, the assignment of absorption bands in the electronic spectra of aqueous solutions of the Na4[UO2(O2)CO3)2] complex has been performed. It has been demonstrated that the absorption in the range 190–400 nm is caused by the oxygen atoms of the O22- and CO32- groups and hydration water molecules of dissociated and neutral complex species Na3[UO2(O2)(CO3)2], Na2[UO2(O2)(CO3)2]2–, and Na4[UO2(O2)(CO3)2].

Supramolecular 3,4:9,10-perylenetetracarboxylic diimide triads containing moieties of sumanene polyphenol derivative: Synthesis and photochemical transformations

摘要

A polyphenol derivative of the sumanene-containing triad with a central perylenetetracarboxylic diimide moiety was synthesized via several consecutive chemical transformations of N,N'-bis(3',5'-dimethoxybenzyl)-1,7-bis[4''-(N,N'-disumanenyl)aminophenyl]perylene-3,4:9,10-tetracarboxylic diimide. The phenolic hydroxyl groups of the resulting derivative were partly protected by introduction of two different protective groups, pentaspiran and tert-butyl butyrate ones. It was shown that this modified derivative can be used to obtain a promising positive-tone photoresists with high parameters for extreme ultraviolet nanolithography on exposure to light at 13.5 nm for the manufacture of 20 to 16 nanometer chips.

The method of appearing solvent: Extraction of metal ions from aqueous solutions into in situ forming ionic liquid

摘要

The simultaneous dissolution of tetraoctylammonium bromide and sodium N-lauroyl sarcosinate in water leads to the in situ formation of a water-immiscible ionic liquid, tetraoctylammonium N-lauroyl sarcosinate. The new phase formed can extract cadmium, cobalt, copper, nickel, lead, and zinc ions from aqueous solution in the presence of 4-(2-pyridylazo)resorcinol (PAR), while it can extract cadmium ions in the absence of PAR.

A computer model of the nonstationary gas flow in a long multilayer-insulated high-pressure subsea gas pipeline

摘要

For the non-stationary gas flow in a long multilayer-insulated high-pressure subsea gas pipeline, an original computer model was developed that takes into account transient heat-transfer processes in the long multilayer wall of the pipeline. These processes may influence the energy balance of the flowing gas, leading to a change in the gas temperature down to negative values, which may cause frosting of the pipe and reduction of its strength characteristics up to rupture. The adequacy of the model was checked on an industrial subsea pipeline more than 300 km long. Computational experiments on the developed computer model under essentially unsteady boundary conditions for pressure, mass flow rate, and temperature showed that the developed model gives more accurate values of flow velocity, pressure, and temperature throughout the pipeline.
