Abstract

Cracking of heavy vacuum gas oil on HCeY and HLaY zeolite-containing catalysts deposited on Fe-pillared montmorillonite is characterized before and after steam treatment. Special attention is paid to thermally stable HCeY-containing catalyst that gives greater yields of gasoline and gas phases than HLaY-containing catalyst. Correlations of activity with the number and strength of acidic sites are found.
