Dynamics of Russia’s Publication Activity in 1993–2017 Based on Web of Science Data

摘要

The formal characteristics of the publication activity of Russian researchers are analyzed. The sources of information are Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Social Science Citation Index (SSCI), Arts and Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI), and Journal Citation Reports (JCR) for 1993–2017. The following information was considered: the annual number of publications originating in Russia, the overall number of publications; the share of Russian publications in each field of science in the world array of publications; the rank of Russia based on the number of publications in each area of research; the share of Russia’s publications in a particular area of research in the total number of Russian publications; and the average and average weighted impact factor for a given set of journals.

An Ontological Approach to Education Program Design in Digital Environments

The questions of developing design systems for educational programs and their components are considered. A design approach based on specialized ontologies that establish the relationships between the program components in different paradigms is proposed. The tools of adjusting the detail level of the ontologies are described. An architecture of a curriculum design system that operates within the constructed ontologies is proposed.

The concept of cognitive monitoring is defined. Some possible approaches to the construction of cognitive monitoring systems are considered and their generalized structure is described. The concept of a cognitive monitoring machine is introduced. A cognitive architecture approach to design monitoring systems that features the generation of on-demand architectures is proposed. The structure of a platform oriented to the use of this approach is described. An example of creating a cognitive monitoring system is considered.

Using Structural and Parametric Polymorphism in the Creation of Digital Twins

摘要

This article considers digital twin creation based on structural and parametric polymorphism together with decision table ensembles. A new view of the concept of polymorphism applied to building digital models of physical objects is described. A new approach is proposed for using tables as means of designing digital twins by treating data flows and forming control signals to objects in the engineering system that are defined with metric-system indicator values.

An Electronic Library as a Means of Science Publication on the Web: The Experience of Data Sharing on Anomalies of Thermal Expansion

摘要

The concept of a small-format electronic library (EL) is proposed, which permits the collected information on a project carried out in a scientific team to be disseminated on the Internet. The ABCD multilingual automation system for libraries and information centers was used as an effective software tool for building electronic libraries, the service capabilities of which were used to create a universal means of storing, organizing, and distributing scientific data. The developed library is used to exchange data and documents on thermal expansion anomalies on the web. The specificity of the subject area that implies the permanent emergence of new terms, ideas and concepts and expansion of the range of substances is reflected in the system of metadata that we adopted with the possibility of their continuous expansion.

Academies of Sciences in the American Continents Countries: Analysis of Their Information Presence in the Internet Space

摘要

An analysis is provided of the issues associated with the Internet presence of the Academies of Sciences (AS) of the countries of the Americas (American Continents Countries). The legal statuses of the ASs are indicated, as well as their interactions with government bodies, corporations, national and international scientific organizations, individual researchers, etc. A detailed analysis is conducted of the information posted on the AS websites, their interface features, language choices, available services, and main webometric indicators. Conclusions are drawn about the role of the AS websites in ensuring the availability and dissemination of science and technical information, about their significance in the creation of the national and international scientific information space, and about the potential usefulness of the AS websites for Russian researchers.
