Abstract
The main objective of this study was to study I and II heart tones using phono- and spectrography in healthy subjects and in patients with acute myocardial infarction. We examined 79 patients (59 men and 20 women) with acute transmural large focal myocardial infarction aged 30 to 77 years. The diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction was made on the basis of clinical, electrocardiographic and laboratory studies.
