Abstract

With intravenous blood transfusion, technical difficulties may occur: poorly expressed veins on the limbs, scars after former venous sections, the inability to free the patient's limb during the operation, especially during thoracic or abdominal operations. Faced with similar difficulties, we performed intravenous transfusions of blood and various solutions into the cutaneous vein of the neck - the external jugular vein.
