Abstract
Studying postinjection lipodystrophy as a complication of insulin treatment of diabetes mellitus (V.V. Talantov, 1973, 1974), we drew attention to the appearance in some patients of postinjection compaction of subcutaneous adipose tissue up to 10-20 mm in diameter, rarely larger. Usually it is painless, occurs immediately or after minutes and hours after injection and lasts from several hours to a day, and sometimes more than a day. The skin over this seal, as a rule, is not changed.
