Abstract
The search for agents adequate to antibiotics in terms of antibacterial effect, but causing relatively less allergic reactions, led us to the use of depot sulfonamides, primarily for chronic pulmonary diseases. Our attention was attracted by sulfamonomethoxin (synonyms - danmeton, drug 04-3476), synthesized at the V.I. S. Ordzhonikidze V. A. Zasosov, N. A. Kapina and K. A. Bushueva. We found in the periodicals sporadic indications of the effectiveness of sulfamonomethoxin in pneumonia, based on a small number of observations.
