Abstract
By the end of the 19th century, there were about 50 private kumis hospitals in Russia. In the Kazan province, there were kumys treatment establishments without medical supervision, such as boarding houses. I \ these include the kumys treatment institution of Ya.A. Abdulmenov in the village of Gorki, Kazan district, which functioned in 1875, institutions of Serebryakova (1878), A. Aminev (1875), Ishukov (1902), Kuzyashev and Almakayev (1909) .).
