Abstract
The resident of the Gynecological Department of the hospital I. M. Lvov showed the following drugs:
1) A huge proliferating cyst of the left ovary with thick colloidal contents, removed by him at 47 years old, a very emaciated patient, with the help of a womb. The interest of the case consisted in the following: the patient was extremely emaciated; the cyst grew during the year. During the operation, it turned out that the cyst had ruptures, and its contents — a jelly-like yellowish colloidal mass — poured into the peritoneal cavity. The peritoneum itself, both parietal and visceral, presented a complete picture of colloidal degeneration — it was strewn with small bubbles with thick colloidal contents. There was no dropsy in the abdomen. Postoperative period without complications, the patient recovered.
