Аннотация
Природоохранная биология ставит своей целью поддержание биологического разнообразия и защиту видов от вымирания. Число угрожаемых видов непрерывно возрастает год от года, отражая как ухудшение ситуации, так и увеличение числа исследованных видов. Для получения достоверной оценки статуса и планирования мер по охране угрожаемых видов необходима не только оценка текущей общей численности, но и данные по популяционной структуре, демографической истории, а также генетическому разнообразию. Разработка новых подходов и снижение стоимости секвенирования позволили решать задачи эти задачи на недоступном ранее уровне и привели к формированию природоохранной геномики. В данном обзоре рассмотрены возможности и перспективы, которые дает применение полногеномного секвенирования в природоохранной биологии, нюансы сбора образцов для секвенирования, а также некоторые особенности планирования полногеномных исследований. Кроме того, сделан акцент на важности формирования открытых биобанков образцов и клеточных культур на национальном уровне.
