Resumo
The article uses the material of the Khalkha-Mongolian language with the involvement of related Buryat and Kalmyk languages to consider morphological and etymological groups of postpositions distinguished on the basis of their origin, namely primitive and postpositions formed from nouns and adjectives. In the course of the analysis eight primitive postpositions and eleven postpositions formed from nouns and adjectives were identified. Examples of the use of individual postpositions in Mongolian literary texts and other sources are given as illustrative material; corpus data are used.
