Аннотация
The article outlines the results of a multimodal study into immersive communication. In particular, it aims to establish the type, frequency and contingency of speculative discourse markers on gesture use in two modes of immersive communication, namely with and without a visual stimulus. The analysis has shown significant differences in the distribution of speculative discourse markers and gesture, conditioned by, other than the extent of immersion, an individual’s level of intro/extraversion.
