This article examines the process of development of human security concept. The author considers several approaches to the development of the concept. The author introduces and considers latest research in this field, which are compared with established approaches, and an assessment of their applicability is also given. Based on the studied material, the author deduces her definition of the concept of human security, outlining ways for the possible further development of this doctrine.
