Resumo
The paper examines the features of the process of recruiting the Canadian Expeditionary Force at the height of the First World War and the problems that accompanied the recruitment of volunteers. It examines the difficulties faced by the authorities, as well as measures aimed at stimulating the recruitment campaign. As a result, it became obvious that in the conditions of the ongoing war, the only way out of the current situation was the introduction of the transcript in Canada.
