使用细胞学方法来确定动物角的有机来源: 一个案例研究

侦查和侦破偷猎案件时,司法鉴定就是主要的证据机制。进行侦查时,除了衣服、犯罪枪支和动物尸体外,还可能发现并扣押偷猎者的衍生品(角、蹄、羽毛)。目前,打猎时最昂贵的是偶蹄动物角,其质量取决于去除血液和毛发残留物的正确技术。这样的处理不允许使用生物分析方法来确定被扣押的偷猎者的衍生品的有机来源,而且遗传分析成本高,以及在实验室缺少必要的设备和相关的试剂。
法医生物学系的一位专家 奔萨地区法医局应该确定该动物角的有机来源,估计是赛加羚羊的角。研究材料是从涉嫌偷猎者那里没收的14个动物角。
在研究过程中,从动物角的外围和中央部分获得了微粒子,用这些微粒子制备出粉碎的制剂,然后进行染色和显微镜检查。荧光显微镜对角的中央部分的硬板进行荧光染色的制备,发现了骨细胞,即骨组织的特征细胞。当来自角的外围的小颗粒被天青色伊红染色时,形成角鞘基础的上皮细胞被检测出来。
检测到构成角质层基础的上皮细胞,提供足够理由来确定被研究的材料的有机来源。
