Modius and «The Floral Crown» in the Iconography of Royal Women of the New Kingdom: Interpretation of the Symbolic Meaning of Headgears
Abstract
The article examines the typology of crowns of Egyptian royal woman of the New Kingdom Period (XVIII-XX dynasties) - the so-called «modius» and the «floral crown». Special attention is paid to the peculiarities of decoration of these crowns and to the interpretation of their possible symbolic significance.

The Role of the Catholic Church in Establishing the Portuguese Colonial Empire in India in the first half of the 16th century
Abstract
The article deals with the role of the Catholic Church in the context of Portuguese colonial policy in India and describes the methods of Christianizing the local population. The problem of interaction between the Hindu and Christian religious systems is explained. When the early decades of missionary activity did not lead to desired results, it became clear that there existed profound misunderstanding by Catholic missionaries of the realities of Hindu society. As a result, Catholic Church had to seek new methods for baptizing of the Hindu population.

Reason and Beliefs: the Views of Cotton Mather on the Relationship between Science and Religion
Abstract
The article deals with the history of New England at the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 18th centuries, when the ideological and intellectual climate was undergoing serious transformation under the influence of scientific and Enlightenment ideas. The authors analyze the views of Rev. Cotton Mather (1663-1728) on religion and science. The Puritan clergyman was one of the first in colonial America to understand the importance of scientific discoveries and to show that the new science and philosophy were an incentive to religion.

Evolution in Style of Shanghai Women in the 1920s and 1930s
Abstract
The article deals with the transformation of the appearance of women in Shanghai as a process. Manchu women typically wore a one-piece dress that retrospectively came to be known as the qípáo. The modern version, which is now recognized popularly in China as the «standard» qipao, was first developed in Shanghai in the 1920s, partly under the influence of Beijing styles. It was the high-class courtesans and celebrities in the city who made these redesigned tight fitting qipao popular at that time. The author studies the changes in women's lifestyle and in the way they looked.

Abstract
The article deals with contemporary issues of Itamaraty - Brazil's foreign service. The basic reform in the ministry changed its structure as a result of new foreign policy guidelines in Brazil. Brazil's Foreign Ministry is the most extensive diplomatic structure in Latin Ame-rica.

Integration in the EU as one of the Priorities of Ukraine's Foreign Policy
Abstract
The author studies the evolution of the foreign policy of Ukraine and its policy of integration in the EU. What should Ukraine's policy towards the EU be? What are the prospects for concluding the EU-Ukrainian Association Agreement? Ukraine has developed close interaction with the EU, but this does not guarantee its accession to the EU because of both internal and external factors that keep the Union from adopting a final decision on the acceptance of Ukraine.

8th Colloquium of Spanish and Russian Historians «Russia and Spain: Traditions of Cultural Dialogue»: (Moscow, 31 October - 1 November 2011)
Abstract
The article is a case study of the 8th Colloquium of Spanish and Russian Historians as the example of cultural and scientific contacts between Spain and Russia. It became a platform for discussing innovative methods and approaches in historical studies. Among the Spanish historians who participated in the debates, were: L. López-Ocón Cabrera, R. Calvo Boveda, L. Caballero Zoreda, M.Á. Utrero Agudo, F. Fernández Izquierdo P.A. Garcia Bilbao and others.
