Please upload your manuscript as a Microsoft Office Word document.  The number of required documents includes Text of the manuscript without bionotes, Full text of the manuscript with bionotes and Application from authors. It is necessary to provide a separate file with the information about the author. To assist you in preparing your paper, we provide formatting template. Word template is available for this journal. Please save the template to your hard drive, ready for use.

The editorial board of the journal "Current Issues in Philology and Pedagogical Linguistics" when reviewing an article can make a check of the material using the Antiplagiat system. In case of detection of multiple borrowings, the editors act in accordance with the rules of COPE: the permissible originality of the manuscript from 75%, the permissible level of borrowing - up to 6%.

Application and article are sent in separate files.

1.2. Text formatting. The article should be in Microsoft Word format with rtf extension, font - Times New Roman, size - 14, left margin - 3 cm, right - 1.5 cm, bottom and top - 2 cm, interval -1.5. Sealing of intervals is prohibited See sample article.

1.3. The text file of the article. The journal editorial board prefers to receive a manuscript as a single complete file with all figures, tables and any additional supplemental materials.

2. MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE

The structure of the text should follow the pattern below (depending on the type of work).

2.1. Preparation of article metadata in Russian and in English

Each article should have metadata in two languages (both in Russian and in English), regardless of the language of the text. The alternation of metadata on the cover page of the article depends on the language of the article: if the article is in Russian, first a block of Russian-language metadata is given; if the article is in English, the first is the English-language metadata.

Article Type: Original Paper; Critical Review; Short Communication; Letters, etc.);

UDC (Universal Decimal Classification) Index. The research direction and the subject/s of study should be specified, e.g: UDC: 81`42 +811.111. The index can be found on the Internet: http://teacode.com/online/udc;

DOI (Digital Object Identifier) — digital object identifier (the phrase digital object identifier, CIO) is also used – the standard for designating information provided on the network;

Title of the article - for the titles of the articles, apply the style of writing in capital-lower case letters with the capitalization of their own names, abbreviations, etc. The title of the article should reflect the subject and topic of the article, as well as the main goal (question) posed by the author for disclosing the topic;

Authors - when writing the authors of the article, the surname should be indicated after the name and the initials of patronymic (Ivan S. Ivanov); Listing authors’ names on an article is an important mechanism to give credit to those who have significantly contributed to the work. It also ensures transparency for those who are responsible for the integrity of the content. Authors listed on an article must meet all of the following criteria: made a significant contribution to the work reported, whether that’s in the conception, study design, execution, acquisition of data, analysis and interpretation, or in all these areas; have drafted or written, or substantially revised or critically reviewed the article; have agreed on the journal to which the article will be submitted; reviewed and agreed on all versions of the article before submission, during revision, the final version accepted for publication, and any significant changes introduced at the proofing stage; agree to take responsibility and be accountable for the contents of the article and to share responsibility to resolve any questions raised about the accuracy or integrity of the published work.

Changes After the journal has accepted your article, if you need to change the co-authors for any reason you should write to the editor of the journal, with a clear reason for the change. This letter must come from all the authors, including the person you are adding or removing. The editor will need to agree to the change.

If the corresponding author changes before the article is published (i.e., if a co-author becomes the corresponding author), please write to the editor of the journal and the production editor, confirming that both authors have agreed the change.

Institutions/Affiliation - It is necessary to give the official FULL institution name (without abbreviations). After the name of the institution, separated by commas, in brackets you must write the name of the country, city;

Then follows the specify ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID – is a non-commercial project whose goal is to assign each author of a scientific article a unique code). The main task of the identification code is to eliminate the discrepancies in the author's names). See: Register for an ORCID iD, in the end e-mail. See sample article;

Abstract should be (if the work is original) structured: relevance, purpose, materials and methods, results, conclusion, i.e. contain the main provisions outlined in the work; reflect the author's view on the problem discussed in the manuscript taking into account the analyzed material and the results obtained; allow the reader to understand the uniqueness of this article (research or review). The abstract of the text should be 200-250 words. It is undesirable to make large gaps between paragraphs in the summary, as well as the red lines (the abstract should be perceived as a single information block, revealing the content of the article). The abstract of a scientific article should be concise and informative, reflecting the most important research results. The abstract of the article should be completely consistent with the Russian language and be competent from the point of view of the English language, and also include at least 250 words in its meaning and structure (Aim, Matherials and Methods, Results, Conclusions).

Keywords in Russian (7-10 words); for an article in German, the abstract and keywords are written in Russian and English.

Acknowledgements (if available) Authors may express thanks to people and organizations who contributed to the publication of an article in a journal, but who are not its authors. Any individuals who have contributed to the article (e.g. technical assistance, formatting-related writing assistance, translators, scholarly discussions which significantly contributed to developing the article, etc.), but who do not meet the criteria for authorship should be listed by name and affiliation in an ‘Acknowledgments’ section. It is the responsibility of the authors to notify and obtain permission from those they wish to identify in this section. The process of obtaining permission should include sharing the article, so that those being identified can verify the context in which their contribution is being acknowledged.

For citation - the output of the article.

Bionote is given at the end of the article. (Author data – title, degree, position, merit, place of work–address, contacts are placed separately from affiliation in metadata, as a rule, at the end of the article, after References).

2.2. The full article

The full article is structured in accordance with the headings (author's variation is allowed in the subheadings under the heading "Results and discussion"):

Detailing of headings:

  • The aim of the article
  • A review of the literature
  • Research methods
  • Results and discussion

  • all tables and figures are included in the text and must have continuous numbering;
  • it is recommended that in Russian language texts signatures, explanations, legends for illustrations (photos, diagrams, etc.), tables should be drawn up in two languages in parallel - in Russian and English.

The Requirements for References

The Journal uses the Vancouver style of citing https://rasep.ru/images/materials/vancouver.pdf .

The article should contain no more than 30 sources in the list of references. When reflecting the results of their research, the authors should refer to the experience of Russian and foreign researchers, as reflected in publications included in the International Scientific Databases Russian Science Citation Index, Scopus and Web of Science. Most sources should have a year of publishing not older than 5 years. The analysis of current literature and recent research should not be limited to listing the theoretical information with the indication of their authors. The original article allows quoting no more than 3 works of each author.

In particular:

  • Intra-text bibliographic references are given in square brackets, where reference is made to the ordinal number of the used work in the reference list of literature and page - [40: 77]. If the link includes several used works, they are separated by brackets inside the square brackets. For example: [2: 38; 25: 80].
  • Textual bibliographic references are given after the text of the article under the general heading "Reference ". The references are numbered not alphabetically, but as they are mentioned in the text, regardless of the language in which the work was given;
  • The article may contain subscript bibliographic references (footnotes-notes): indications of archival sources, materials of collections and private collections, legal documents, as well as author's notes and comments. Unlike in-text references cited in square brackets, footnotes are placed at the bottom of the page and are made in computer mode: Insert-link-footnote.
  • In Reference, when referring to a book, it is necessary to specify the publisher. When referring to a multivolume edition, you must specify how many volumes and which volume the link is given. The reference to the periodical is given as follows: author. Article title // Journal title. Year. Tom (vol.). no. Interval of article pages.

REFERENCES should be in Vancouver format https://rasep.ru/images/materials/vancouver.pdf To describe the release date, volume and release of the periodical and the pages on which the source of the link is published, use the shortened record format (see examples below).

DOI. In all cases where the cited material has a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), it must be indicated at the very end of the bibliographic reference. To check for DOI at the source, visit http://search.crossref.org/ or https://www.citethisforme.com. To get the DOI, you need to enter the name of the source in English into the search box. The latter site, in addition to DOI, automatically generates a correctly formatted bibliographic description of the article in English in the AMA (Vancouver) citation style. The vast majority of foreign journal articles since 2000 and many Russian-language articles (published after 2013) are registered in the CrossRef system and have a unique DOI.

All Internet resources: articles, books, monographs, official publications, magazines, newspapers, patent documents, preprints, audio and video materials, etc., must be provided with electronic links, designed in accordance with the sample.
