Abstract

Рак легкого является ведущей причиной смертности среди всех злокачественных новообразований в развитых странах у лиц обоего пола, в 2002 г. вмире было выявлено 1,35 млн новых случаев этого заболевания, смертность от этого вида рака составила 1,18 млн случаев. Немелкоклеточный рак легкого (НМРЛ) составляет более 80% среди всех форм рака легкого. Большинство пациентов, которым выставляется диагноз НМРЛ, на момент выявления являются неоперабельными. При распространенной стадии заболевания основной целью терапии по-прежнему является улучшение качества жизни пациента и паллиативная терапия, хотя до недавнего времени прогресс в разработке химиотерапевтических препаратов для применения на этой стадии болезни достиг, по-видимому, некоего плато. В настоящее время в клиническую и исследовательскую практику входит новый химиотерапевтический агент – пеметрексед. Данные нескольких исследований говорят о том, что пеметрексед является особенно эффективным при неплоскоклеточном варианте НМРЛ
