Abstract

Aspects of finite-element modeling of the turbogenerator stator to determine the natural frequencies are discussed. Various approaches to the modeling of complex elements of a large structure are implemented for a turbogenerator stator as an example. The appoaches reduce the dimension of the model by several orders of magnitude, while maintaining the required accuracy. The effective properties of the model are mainly determined by calculation. In some cases, experimental data must be used.
