Abstract
Results are presented for research by an acoustic method, of residual stresses and the plastic strains that occurred in a spoke of a rotor frame of the main generator after welding reinforcing plates (additional ribs for rigidity) during upgrade work on the hydroelectric unit of the Nizhnekamsk hydroelectric power station.
