Abstract

A method of identifying the basic parameters of airplane components is proposed on the basis of correlation and factorial analysis, with the subsequent derivation of polynomials by the least-squares method and by Brandon’s method. A multiparametric approach to design analysis and synthesis is formulated on the basis of a formalized process. This approach permits clear decisions for individual aircraft components at the preliminary design stage, as demonstrated here for the example of a wing.
