Abstract
The effect of a significant and sudden loss of the greatest possible average traction during a vehicle’s intense acceleration is found under the asymmetric or asynchronous vertical vibrations of the drive wheels. The effect appears in vehicles with an interwheel differential during an intense start with slipping and can be dangerous when entering highways or crossing uncontrolled intersections. The vibration modes resulting in the partial or almost complete loss of the average traction are specified. The torque supplied to the pair of wheels and ensuring the highest possible acceleration in vibration modes is found. The kinematics of the process are analyzed for motion with the minimum power inputs.
