Artificial and natural radionuclides in soils of the southern and middle taiga zones of Komi Republic

Specific activities of artificial (¹³⁷Cs, ⁹⁰Sr) and natural (⁴⁰К, ²³²Th, ²²⁶Ra) radionuclides in background soils of southern and middle taiga of Komi Republic have been estimated with consideration for the landscape-geochemical features of the territory. It has been shown that their accumulation and migration in soils are determined by the following factors: position in relief, texture, and organic matter content. No anomalous zones with increased contents of radionuclides in soils have been revealed.
