Resumo
The possibility of identifying the contribution from the isovector electric quadrupole giant resonance against the background of the predominant isovector electric dipole giant resonance in measuring the forward–backward asymmetry of the emission of fast neutrons in (γ, n) reactions with threshold neutron detectors is discussed.
