The possibility of separating isovector E1 and E2 giant resonances in measuring neutron emission asymmetry with threshold detectors

Resumo

The possibility of identifying the contribution from the isovector electric quadrupole giant resonance against the background of the predominant isovector electric dipole giant resonance in measuring the forward–backward asymmetry of the emission of fast neutrons in (γ, n) reactions with threshold neutron detectors is discussed.
