Abstract
It is shown that stable waves are generated on a water surface induced by a horizontal airflow whose speed falls along the flux under certain conditions: the period of chain of vortices generated in a viscous layer of airflow coincides with that of a group of waves with a length corresponding to the distance between the vortices. The dependence of a stable wave on the speed and drop in speed of a slowing airflow is obtained.
