Abstract
Application of a coefficient taking into account the solution gas for determining the density of live oil/gas mixtures is considered and analyzed. An alternative method is proposed for calculating live oil density based on fundamental thermodynamic relations and the equations of state. Calculation results of both methods are compared with the experimental data. The accuracy and application practices of both calculation methods are estimated.
