Новый вид китовидковой рыбы рода Cetomimus (Cetomimidae) из тропической части Центральной Атлантики

Приводится описание нового для науки вида батипелагической китовидковой рыбы рода Cetomimus, два экземпляра которого были пойманы над центральной тропической частью Срединно-Атлантического хребта на горизонтах 1500–0 и 2680–0 м. Для вида характерны 3½ жаберные дуги (за третьей жаберной дугой имеется маленькое отверстие), развитая только вокруг ануса и над основаниями первого–шестого лучей анального плавника кавернозная ткань; большие поры канала боковой линии, приблизительно равные ширине этого канала; отсутствие крупных, клапановидных треугольных выростов по краю перемычек между порами в задней части боковой линии; 42–48 позвонков; 20, 17–18 и 18 лучей соответственно в грудном, спинном и анальном плавниках; 17–18 пор в канале боковой линии между верхним краем жаберной крышки и концом хвостового стебля, а также некоторые иные диагностические признаки. Приведены первые молекулярно-генетические данные для описываемого вида (последовательности COX-1 мтДНК, или ДНК-баркоды), а также анализ межвидовой дивергенции в роде Cetomimus.
