Abstract
The paper presents the methods and results of the calculation of flow around a return vehicle accounting for the physical and chemical processes in the flow field during aerodynamic braking in the Earth’s atmosphere. The models of chemical processes proceeding in the shock layer at the vehicle surface and corresponding to various initial and boundary conditions are studied.
