Resumo

A device for noninvasive electrical stimulation of the spinal cord was developed. The device can be used for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. The device provides stimulation of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions of the spinal cord in any combination. It also allows the spinal roots in at least one of the regions of the spinal cord to be stimulated. The noninvasive electrical stimulation is an alternative to the invasive epidural electrical stimulation of the spinal cord for the rehabilitation of patients with severe motor disorders and pain.
